A Nutri-garden unlike kitchen garden holds significant importance for farmers and farm women in terms of Nutritional security. Nutri-garden serves as a complementary resource that offers several benefits such as Nutrition and Food Security as it offers fresh and nutritious produce directly to farmers’ households. Having a diverse range of fruits and vegetables ensures a balanced diet. In one or other way it contributes to sustainable farming practices. It can be one of the Supplemental Income to the household while also contributing to the overall well-being of farming households and their communities.
Nutrigarden developed at KVK
YFA-KVK, developed nutrigarden of 1000-square-meter with 12 beds set up, each bed measuring 40x40m. Seasonally appropriate vegetable and fruits are being cultivated in the farm developed at KVK.
